Received the fan on time and completely secure and protected well in the box....not broken. The fan was simple to install except the instructions are a bit to be desired, along with the operational directions. We did hire an electrician to be on the safe side, but someone who is good at home installations and not leery of this kind of work should be just fine at installing this fan. The fan itself is beautiful and pulls the air/steam out extremely well. Others have made comments on how loud it is. My thinking is if you want a super quiet fan, you should by the more expensive brands. This fan is quiet in my opinion and is powerful. It does the job very well.

Looks good but functions poorly. Purchased it in July, 2015, installed by contractor late August. Barely 4 months later (I hardly used it, as I don't cook much), it suddenly gave out this high-pitched noise, non-stop, like a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm. Called customer service, diagnosed it as having a broken circuit board. they can only send me a new part and I have to replace it myself--the diagram they emailed me, showing how to take it apart and where to locate the circuit board..., looks too complicated for me to do it myself. Their warranty covers parts only, so I'll have to hire a handyman to fix it--imagine how much I'll end up paying for fixing this broken vent, barely 4 months old. Not worth the trouble or the extra cost... So disappointed!!! Should have heeded the other negative reviews on broken parts

Bought as a warehouse deal in an open box. Was described as near new condition but had suffered some damage that had to be repaired prior to installation. The installation was not that complicated, instructions are not great, but studying them and the fan it self made for a fairly straight installation. \Pros The fan it self looks good and has powerful suction. It is fairly loud but has a pleasant sound, not high pitched or rattling so it is easy to ignore.Cons: Control panel is complicated. The fan can not run without the clock being turned on first, light it dim with a blue tint, more like a nightlight than a task light. More fan speed would be ideal especially a lower one for a more quiet operation.

Excellent product after using for nearly a month. I had someone else assemble & install but what an exceptional look and function. This vents straight out the back wall, through louvred vents. East to use, without instruction. The LED lights give a high end look to any kitchen. Fits a standard 30" wide opening, so you don't have to have a commercial size stove to have that same appearance. Three fan speeds are sufficient. East to clean, with a step ladder. Just don't lean your hand on the stainless exhaust trunk when cleaning, as it may become damaged. This goes with any brand 30" stainless stove, since there is no 'brand' stamped on the vent. Works very well and looks amazing! So far, I highly recommend.

Great hood. Quiet, sucks really well. A little difficult to put on the stainless cover, you'll need two people to do it. But other than that we are very happy with it. The light is very good, and absolutely sufficient for cooking. Nice design. Great price!

Does not meet my expectations. The touch screen panel is not sensitive to touch....so you have to press many times and harder and harder to get it to recognize your touch. Frustrating. And the lights are a horrible very cold color of blue purple. I wanted to switch to warm color LED's , but the customer service people said not possible.

This unit boasts a powerful fan that really does the trick. The halogen lights are bright and it cleans like a dream. Sorry it’s not available. Need a new one for my new house. You won’t go wrong.

When it is on the unit works fine. Turning it on and off is extremely unintuitive. You have to press the clock button to turn it on. And it is capacitive touch so you can't do it without looking. Also you can't do it with gloves on or with dirty fingers. And when you do press it you have to hold your finger on there (pushing harder doesn't help). I'm sure they saved about 0.1¢ by using these fake "capacitive touch" buttons versus real buttons and usability has suffered.If it is on full blast how do you turn it off? Obviously you press the + button. Alternatively you can press the clock button. But of course you need to press clock twice, which everybody knows is a the standard for turning things off.This make so much sense that I have relabeled all the light switches in my house: in the ON position I have added a clock icon and in the OFF position I have added a double clock.
