250 KILO GALVANISED COAL BUNKER

Not the sturdiest but for the price it’s ok. Does the job

The media could not be loaded.  Quick delivery but that is as good as it gets.Luckily I had a panel beating set in my tool box as every single panel had at least one bent and damaged edge and I spent an hour straightening them all before trying to put it together. Half the holes were either too small and required drilling and the other half too large! Now it is together I can tell you it is not the same as the one shown in the photos on the advert. It is extremely flimsy, when I open the lid it rarely closes correctly and I have to push a side of it to square it up so the lid drops down properly. The bottom of it just sits in place and does not secure to anything, leaving the whole thing as wobbly as hell. The one in the advert appears to have a bottom/base that is bolted in place and also some kind of reinforcement bolted right across the centre of the front panel making it far more rigid, there is no such thing on the one supplied! There wasn't even any washers and several of the holes were almost as big as the nuts that are supplied and would have torn through the holes as soon as the bunker had a load of coal put in it. I don't hold out any hope for this thing lasting very long at all. I wouldn't be surprised if it buckles and explodes as soon as it is filled up. Hopefully the video I have done will load and show everyone how rubbish this thing really is!!Update, still not had any coal put in it and one hinge has already become unwelded from the lid (photos added). I have contacted the seller so we'll see if they reply and what they do about it. I will update on the outcome.

Don't try and assemble in a wind as I did. If it blows away and gets bento worries, it is so thin its easy to re shape!. Fill it with coal promptly otherwise you will have to wave it good by as it blows over your garden wall.

After assembling the coal box I had to drill holes and reinforce the entire coal box with 2x2 timber on the inside including the floor otherwise the first bag of coal you poured into the coal box I think the entire thing would had collapsed, the galvanised steel is so thin you could spit peas through it.Crap value I would had rather spent the money on timber and built a wooden one which would had been better.

This bunker is so badly made of flimsy tin with danerous sharp edges, M8 screws that need washers (not supplied) for M10 holes, lid hinges just hanging on with 2 spotwelds, I'll be surprised if it lasts the winter. I should have returned it but not worth the effort having unpacked plus my coal delivery was imminent so I had to keep the rotten bunker. DONT BUY THIS ONE!

Do NOT buy. Just shocking in every way!

Not only was this bunker difficult to assemble, but the runners on the sliding hatch also broke within a few weeks so when you fill the coal now spills out. The seller has refused to deal with the problem because they say the order was more than thirty days ago. Poor product, poor service!
