Ergodyne Arsenal 5510 Industrial MOLLE Vest, Lime

Purchased three of these vest and they are working great for my guys who work nights on the road. Good product choice

Looks good (if you are going for looks). Handles pouches well. Problem is it has the hook fasteners facing out. That makes you stick to anything cloth, like backpacks or chairs. It even sticks to itself if you fold it up, and that has torn its own fabric to pieces. I had to replace.

All in all this is a very nice vest and meets my needs. Only issue I have noticed is that of the netting like material the vest is made of. I have only worn it a couple of times since purchasing it and have already noticed some areas where the material has pulled apart. The best way I can explain it is that it's like when you snag your wool sweater on something and a piece of the wool fiber/thread is pulled out or looped. If appearance is not a concern, then I wouldn't worry about it. Even with this issue, the material in which the vest is made out of is quite durable.

I bought this with high hopes for attaching molle gear but its made of a very light weight mesh material that cant handle to many items attached to it. the mesh material starts to stretch where the black molle point attaches to the mesh and if your gear snags on anything it can stretch the mesh. the shoulders are extremely stiff because of the Velcro. if you fold it, the Velcro can sometimes snag on the mesh material and stretch it out or tear it when you try to separate it. Its a great idea but definitely not tough. if they made the entire vest to military specs or out of a tougher fabric that wasn't mesh that would be great. i don't plan on using it for field survey, although it would probably be good for non active activities.

This vest is not compatible with MOLLE. The MOLLE/PALS system uses 1-inch webbing. This vest has 2-inch webbing. Basically, the manufacturer came up with a modular system that's compatible with their items, but it's not the same specs as MOLLE. Some MOLLE items can be attached, if the loops match up right, but you probably won't be able to weave it securely in place. The vest deserves a zero-star rating for deceptive description.On the other hand, it's a decent work vest, and some MOLLE items can be jerry-rigged to attach. If it had MOLLE webbing, it would deserve four-stars.

Item was received in good order and in original packing. However, for some unknown reason, this item will not be sent to my country, Singapore. As I result, I have to us another courier service to send this item to me, hence incurring additional postage cost.

Feels just like my old LBV. Now it's time to add some molle pouches and it'll be like I'm going to battle. Dress for success!

This is a great idea, taking the tactical molle platform and adapting it for the trades. However the execution of it needs work. First, it didn't fit well and though it was adjustable it distorted its shape and was quite uncomfortable. Second, it's quality was not what I expected. It's made of a mesh that's not flexible enough to conform to your body. With the large straps having rough edges. Perhaps if you wore 4 layers under it or a jacket it would work, but then why would you want the mesh? Third, it only has 2" molle webbing so no one inch fasteners can be used. I didn't order their pouches or bags, being a carpenter they didn't work for me. I returned mine and bought another blaklader vest.

Excellent item well worth the money
