Any tripod can be used on a beach. The Mefoto Q2 has a tight fit between legs and the adjustments, so sand should not be a problem. Dust could be fin enough to enter the legs, but used in those conditions it would make sense to clean and dry the tripod after use.

Q: What is the lowest operating temperature?

I've never used any tripod at below 20 degrees so Ive never had to worry about minimum temperatures. Can't find it anywhere on the tags either.
