DO NOT BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS! THESE KICK ASS!

They showed up and I had to wait for an appropriate amp to pair with them... I starred at these for a week desperate to hear them.... It was worth waiting for! DO NOT BE FOOLED by the bad reviews... VM Audio has their head in the game and is heading in the right direction. I give them complete respect after testing these out. I was too skeptical about them and decided for the money its not really that expensive and that much of a loss if they do have problems like some people say. NOPE ... Not 1 problem... I have the two of them in a shared slot ported box at 4.8 cubic feet and tuned to 38hz and paired them up with a 1200.1 class d 1 ohm stable amp. The subs are wired in parallel at 1 ohm as well. AND THEY HANDLE IT FINE! So good infact that these two 10's have me hitting around 140's on the db meter! IMPRESSIVE! I have been throwing some low tones at 32 and 33 hz at them even played one track that dropped from 46hz to 29hz and the drop was smooooooooooth sailing! I will admit I did beat these right out of the box and that IS NOT GOOD.... But like I said I wanted to test these out! Blowing 1 wouldn't worry me because I would just buy another one or that would have given me a reason to believe the negative people. But that didn't happen to me and makes me believe the people with bad reviews have 0 car audio knowledge.... Even if they claim to be a professional install and they blow up right away.... Someone did SOMETHING wrong.Just learn what you are getting into.... this is a hobby for some people.... and a way of life for others. People who live for bass will all tell you subs do not just blow up on their own when new.... it's user error most of the time.... Learn impedance, Ohm's law, and how current works.....Just make sure you tune your amp properly and do not over power them. They will blow your mind!My specs... 2 VM Audio ECW100's wired down to 1 ohm parallel. 1200.1 mono d pushing 29vac to both sub's (under powered) which calculates out to roughly 900 watts rms, since the subs are parallel they are sharing the current and each getting 450w rms... And they are hitting HARD!If you have any audio questions I would help.... Dunno how often I will see this though lol.

good

have two of these in a ported box running of a fairly crappy 3000 watt amp.... they sound great! first thing i noticed was how heavy they are, really built solidly if feels like. I have set up systems in probably 10 of my friends cars and put these in my own and for being such small woofers they really bump. Loud enough that I can only listen at full blast for about 5 minutes before I get a headache, and Im used to lots of bass as i used to run a 15 inch in my trunk.Only cons i can think of are the little circle things that cover the screws really doesnt stay on if you torque down the screws heavily. Very impresssed overall.

For the money these are a great sub. i use to do Competitions mainly outlaw SPL, and for the money these seem like a medium to high end design. sub in general is made very well and the huge magnet make's it look and sound good. my only complaint is the terminals. just a standard spring loaded push pin style. for the construction and the ability to push so many watts these seem a bit cheap. i am still breaking them in but in a standard 1.8 cu fl box (per sub) they are hitting at 155.3. keep this in mind that this is at 35hz, above 45hz they are clipping and sound like crap. plan is to make a custom box for them and little more power once they are broke in. i'll be buying more of these for my other cars once this system is completed.ok so here's an update as of 6/19/16. i've built these subs a custom box and tuned it accordingly. i had these on a lanzar amp and they had absolutely no HZ range. loud ass hell between 30 and about 45. beyond that they start to distort and clip really bad. i've since put them on a earthquake 2500D mini, about 900-1000w on each sub. wired for 1ohm. according to the RMS wattage this is still under powering them, however they will not be able to handle more than this as 1 sum has already blew it's motor structure. subs where broke in for about 3 weeks in the new box. no reason this should have happened. 4 stars because they where ok subs until the one blew. honestly you can get a better sub for this amount of money, after i get this one fixed (rma) i will go back to running earthquake sub's. even there low end tnt, has better all round response. the other thing is you should be able to put nickles on the speaker (5-6) for the 1oz and watch the ohm's drop, this speaker does not do that. even earthquake subzero witch has a massive excursion rate will drop ohm when doing this.

I bought 2 of these and put them in a sealed box hooked up to a ssl 3000 watt amp and they pound great, i listen to a lot of rock and metal so i didn't want to use a ported box for fear i wouldn't be able to keep up with some of the double bass and I'm definitely not disappointed. I would recommend these to anyone on a tight budget they are a great deal for the money.
