Chyawanprash delicious!

I've used Chyavanprash for years for an immune booster. If I feel like I'm getting sick or getting a cold sore I take a spoonful of it and I feel great, have more energy and never get sick. Recently we had the stomach flu in our house. It started with one person and every 2 days or so someone else would get sick. I ordered this right away because I was out of my regular brand. This one works better than any I've tried, it taste better and is a large tub instead of a really small tub. It smells different than others I've tried, not in a good way , but it really does taste so much better. I'll order this one again next time, but this tub will last me for a long time.

If you like Indian chai, you’ll like this. I add a spoonful to black tea (usually assam) & add some almond milk and it’s delicious. I’m not sure I’m sold on the health benefits, but can’t hurt. I only took a star off because I am 99% sugar free and this is very sweet. I’d prefer less sweetener so I could use a larger dose of the herbals, but anything more than a heaping teaspoon in my tea makes it too sweet for my taste.

This item came with the protective seals broken, jam oozing out. Does not seem safe.

I have tried other Chyawanprash products, they were okay, but this one has an exceptionally good taste, some spice, i can't exactly say which, but it is just very good.

This thing is definitely authentic. I know that though Dabur advertises itself as an Ayurveda company and definitely at one point was good, nowadays is more about business and just making their products taste good and compromising the health benefits for the taste. It sells so it's good business for them. Anyway, I needed something authentic. Being someone who has consumed chyawan prash during most winters from my childhood, i know it when they are real deal. After moving to the US, it was tough to find an authentic one since back in India, I used to purchase from some of the well known Ayurveda pharmacies. This is the closest you can get to the ones obtained from the original pharmacies and definitely has a lot of health benefits.

I've tried several brands of Chyawanprash over the years, and this is currently the best I've found that's available in N. America. The taste is a good balance of sweet and spicy. I agree with another reviewer who pointed out that it's far superior to Dabur, which is the brand you'll see in almost every Indian grocery store. Patanjali/Divya products are from a company inspired by Swami Ramdev, a well-known Yoga teacher in India. I've used other products from this company and I'm convinced that they are conscientious and that what they are offering is of high quality.This product is also a great value at the price because the jar is a full kilogram = 1000 grams = 2.2 lbs, whereas a lot of the other brands are only 500 grams, some even less.
