Super duper solid, fits all types of art pencils I own.
Alright guys, here we go--a review with photographic proof of what these will fit, from top to bottom (refer to image attachment):Purple extender: Faber-Castell 9000 graphite pencilOrange extender: Prismacolor colored pencil (I believe this has the widest barrel of the three pencils)Silver extender: Derwent Graphic HB pencilThey are all snugly fit, just gotta keep twisting the metal ring until it tightens. Upon first receiving the item, my first impression was, "Dang, these things are solid as heck. Definitely do not want to be throwing these around at people." They definitely have a weight to them, although unless you have beanstalk arms, anyone can pick them up and hold them for drawing. If you twist long enough the silver rings will twist right off the aluminum body as well. Had to fight family members for these, too, once they arrived--the shiny colors make these things quite popular. Word of warning, though, it is still best to remove the pencil from the extender first before sharpening; otherwise, if you try to sharpen it with the extender attached, it will frequently become loose/unscrew (hence 4 stars instead of 5).Although, if you're an artist and know how to sharpen pencils with a knife, you get the bonus of a) being able to get the lead exactly as you like, and b) be able to use the pencil all the way down to a tiny stub. :)

The best set you could buy in my book!
I pencil stubs of my favorite colors averaging 1 to 2 inches long in some cases. I have just gotten smart and started ordering replacement pencils a few at a time but it will take a while to get to all of them. Awhile back I had ordered a set of extenders and I really have not gotten any use out of them. They have a hole you put the pencil in and you slide a piece up over the top of that but that just doesn't get tight on the pencils. I didn't like them much so I just never bothered with them. I was looking the other night at pencil extenders and noticed they had this kind that screws around the pencil after you insert it into the hole and I thought that had to be a lot better. I haven't been doing this adult coloring forever so I'm learning here and there. I ordered these and I swear they had to have come the next day! Anyway, I've tried them and they're awesome! Worth every penny. You get 6 in this set and the colors are so pretty. This is about the least expensive set I saw. They are metal and very sturdy. Get a set or two or ten. You can't go wrong here!

Fantastic buy for the price--colorful and practical
Pencil extenders are indispensable for anyone with expensive art pencils that they want to be able to use to the last possible few centimeters. I've seen SINGLE extenders cost more than this set of 6. They are ADJUSTABLE and easy to use. Just stick the stub into the holder top and twist until the pencil is firmly gripped. Then use as you would a normal sized pencil. I've had no trouble with the pencil stub wobbling or falling out. Currently, I'm using these for some Prismacolor Premier colored pencils, but the holders should fit quite a number of basic brands.I like the bright colors and aluminum is fairly lightweight as metal goes, so I haven't noticed much in the way of making the pencils heavier to use than normal.

Better Than I Expected
These worked perfectly! My Prismacolor pencils fit snugly in the extender and didn't budge when using a handheld sharpener. There was no resistance or scraping of the pencils while trying to put them in the barrel, like I've experienced with other extenders of this size.I was worried that, with the handle being aluminum, it would be difficult to hold and work with without a grip, but that wasn't the case at all.Couldn't be happier with my purchase and definitely would buy again.

Great pencil extenders
I usually prefer to buy my art supplies locally, but the local art store has only one brand of extender and it kind of stinks.I love these because, aside from being pretty, they can be gotten tight enough to leave the pencil in while you sharpen it so you can get even more out of it and they're comfortable to hold while you work.

All metal, like an exacto knife
Love these. They hold my prismacolor premieres and verithins as well as some no name pencils. They are all metal and remind me of an exacto knife (only shorter) with the same sort of area on the top that you unscrew to change a blade, only when these unscrew it's like a bit on a drill, it opens or closes the space. When the space is open, you slide your pencil in, then screw it closed.

Very Nice
I was hoping these would be big enough to use with the small square hard pastels, but they're not. That's okay. They'll work fine with my colored pencils when they get short. They really hold the pencil shaft tight. Perfect for getting that last little bit of good out of expensive artist's colored pencils or pastel pencils or watercolor pencils...

Perfect for Prismas!
These are perfect for those pencils that are just too short to work with. The collet and nut style of this extender offers better adjust-ability for slight differences in pencil sizes and can hold the pencils very firmly but the nut can be a little tight to turn. They are very light and the hollow tube is nice since you can put a full pencil in to provide a bulkier grip without making the pencil too long.
