Mann Lake Beekeeping Square Folding Veil with Zipper | Durable Mesh Protection | Veil Only, Helmet Not Included

Although I wasn't aware of it when I purchased this, it comes with a zipper around the bottom that may be sewn into the top collar of a jacket. It explains this feature in the item description however, I just didn't see it there. I haven't sewn it into my jacket but it works just fine tucked in so far.I found the veil to constructed overall very well and gives the impression that it will hold up well. It doesn't appear to be cheap or poorly made at all. The mesh material is very easy to see out of and the elastic band hugs my hat very well and stays in place quite nicely.Overall very pleased with my purchase.

This is a great product. I am happy witht he quality of the veil. I got it with a zipper so I can use it on my jacket or suit but for now I have been just putting it on without anything to zip it to. Works great.

For the price this is really excellent. You can wear it with a garden hat, a baseball cap, etc. But getting the helmet from Mann Lake here off Amazon is your best bet. I have one for my 7 year old, my 9 year old, myself and a quest one. The shape holds well so it stays out of your face and the net is open enough that you can examine frames without too much fuss.

It's good for the price. The mesh is sturdy and the square portion is still and holds it's shape. My boyfriend can wear it without any bees getting inside but when I wore it, 4 bees got inside, even after pinning any extra slack to my shirt. None of them stung me. If you have a pretty large and tall dome on your shoulders, this would work great for you.

Probably an overkill for a grape fruit sized yellow jacket nest under the eaves. I sprayed with aerosol bee killer after sunset. None survived and I didn't stumble running back to the back door. Better safe then stung! Metal mesh front adds support and a better view. Just make sure your hat or helmet is bug on you head the hood will pull down messing up your view. Has a both sides of a zipper for sewing on your bee suit. I just stuffed the neck extension in my old jacket and had my wife tape my cuffs over leather work gloves and around my neck and of course your pant legs tucked in rubber boots. Don't shine a flashlight on the nest when spraying. The bees will follow the light to you and try to sting.

I went to put this item on and the zipper pulled apart causing unrepairable damage. Perhaps a metal zipper is a better option for this? I'm outside the return window and am stuck without a veil! Amazon can you please help me with this!!!

Exactly as described. Lighter than expected. Well made for what it is, and hopefully will give me a confidence factor when doing battle with the amazingly aggressive Utah yellow jacket/wasp. Even though the wasp spray kills them, the ones that get away believe that they are answering the call of the community to kick your ass when provoked. Don't even bother with wasp spray on the dirt dobbers out here. They are simpletons to the Florida dirt dobbers, but if you spray them with wasp spray, they stop what their doing, call their families, bring soap, and it's like a day at a Roman bath for them. The last couple ganged up on me and made me pick them up some beach towels from Walmart.

This is a good large size bee shield. The neck is long enough that you can tuck it into your shirt. No bees got in. Good visibility, Great price.Does not come with a helmet, must purchase separately.
