Great shoes for the money, but these have cheap, uncomfortable insoles
I walk a dog 3-5 miles a day. These are simply the most comfortable walking shoes I've ever had. But they come with cheap insoles that have a high spot under the metatarsal, making them very uncomfortable. But I replaced them with some good insoles and now they feel great. Plus, Avias tend to run a bit small. I usually wear 12s but have to get 13s in Avias. There are basically two types of walking shoes: Rigid & stable, providing more support & stability for walking on trails & uneven ground, or soft & flexible for walking on pavement, sidewalks, hard floors, etc. These are soft & flexible but also have good support. They're very comfortable for walking on pavement but less stable for hiking. I've found that rigid walking shoes like New Balance are simply too hard for walking on pavement but stable on trails.Update: I was going to buy another pair of these, but Amazon jacked the price from $35 to $60. in one day!Arrrggh! Maddening! I hate it when they do that!So I searched online and found them for about the same price from another seller & bought two pairs. Amazon lost the sale.

Comfortable and of good quality.
I purchased these as walking shoes for my dad, and based on his feedback these are quite comfortable and fit perfectly. he has been using them for 2-3 weeks now, and absolutely loves them. They provide good arch support for him, and are comfortable enough and look good enough to be work all day, either as walking shoes or with business-casual attire. I might get a pair in my size and try them out for myself as well as who doesn't want a good pair of comfortable walking shoes that can be worn all day and look good at the same time :)On a purely manufacturing and quality note, these shoes looked to be of good quality and there were no loose seams, threads etc. the materials (leather and synthetic) offer a good blend of functionality and appearance. The gel sockliner, archrocker mid-sole, and cantolevel design/technology by Avia all help support a natural and comfortable walking gait along with stability and comfort. Again, this was for my father, and he is quite picky about his shoes, and he loves these, so i am hoping that they last and am quite satisfied with my purchase. Not sure how relevant this is, but these shoes have the APMA (American Podiatric Medical Association) Seal of Acceptance, which i can only assume is a good thing :)

Great arch support, and the shoe is very comfortable and stable.
Great arch support, and the shoe is very comfortable and stable. Great for walking, with lots of cushioning. Unlike an earlier (cheaper version)...where the lace holes would break open, this one seems very well constructed. And very importantly...does not like like CLOWN SHOES.

comfortable for long periods
Came a day early. Width was comfortable, the shoe is well constructed, the materials will last a long time.I walk/stand 8 hours a day. The shoe makes my feet feel a little more comfortable for the shift. The color is appropriate for a working shoe as well as having good grip on tile and wet floors.

Sizes run small
I sometimes wear a 10-1/2 D and sometimes wear an 11D shoe size, so I ordered this shoe in size 11 D because some other reviewers noted that sizes run small. I have never worn a shoe size larger than 11, but a size 11 in this shoe was too small and I had to return them. Amazon's return process is remarkably easy and efficient. That said, they appeared to be a nice, well-made pair of walking shoes.

Cheap durable shoes
These fit as well as I expected. This pair of shoes are more durable than many pairs of running shoes I've owned and I put several miles on these weekly walking 40 minutes to and from work alone besides working in a factory environment. I'm guessing the fabric is sewn to the rubber sole and Its lasted so far better than pairs of shoes worth $60 meant for running. The failure for many shoes i've bought is the fabric separating from the rubber sole which i don't see happening. The only downside i see are the laces being a bit long and i often tuck them into the shoe to keep from stepping on them.Jokingly they're too durable to see me needing another pair for several months.

I love these walking shoes!
I’m a runner/triathlete but also do a lot of walking (combined walking and running, I’ve covered over 2500 miles in the past 12 months, let’s say I’ve got 1000 miles on my first pair and 300 miles on the new pair) and have no need for dress shoes other then the rare occasions I put on cowboy boots. Running shoes are not designed for walking and most other shoes are worse, so I gave these a try over a year ago. I have very flat feet that sometimes hurt when I stand a lot, not with these, I can walk all day in them and one time when I was working at a marathon I ran the last 3 miles with a friend to keep her going, I wouldn’t recommend them for running but they weren’t bad in a pinch. This is my second pair, the first pair held up well in the year and a half that I’ve had them and I now use that pair when I mow in the lawn/work in the garden. Pretty rugged.

Really like the look and support
I have tried this in two different sizes (10-1/2 and 11). Both too narrow through the toes. I have many others without this problem. Really like the look and support, but just too much of a squeeze.
