We recently had a problem with our electric to the downstairs (kitchen, living room and bathroom) from the fuse box which is on the middle floor.Our usual electrician couldn't find the problem, so I had to call out a fault-finding specialist who had a look and said it was a problem somewhere in the wiring from the fuse box to the main switch downstairs. He warned us that in old houses like ours, it was sometimes necessary to cut several holes (and possibly even a long trench) from the ceiling and wall to try and find the wire and follow it along it's path. Considering we'd not long finished plastering and painting the room, paying for it to be done again wasn't something we were looking forward to!So I did a bit of research and bought this endoscope in the hope it would help the electrician trace the wiring. It arrived the very next day and worked perfectly with my mobile (LG G4) and my Chromebook (it saw it as a webcam), but wouldn't talk to my (admittedly very old) Motorola Xoom II tablet.I chose the Giwox as it had everything I needed included - the USB OTA lead is very useful and the 2.0 Megapixel should give a much clearer image than the 0.3 Megapixel 640x480 versions. The focus is set quite close (you won't be taking any landscape photo's with this!) - but that's to be expected as it's for use in close, cramped conditions so should only be viewing close objects. The adjustable light built in is very useful too.When the electrician visited, he said he'd give it a go with the endoscope. He wrapped some wire around the cable so it wasn't as floppy, and fed it up through one of the room's spotlight fittings. It worked perfectly - he could trace the wire from where it went through the floor above from the fuse box, and follow it across it's path. He was pretty amazed at how it had helped so much and promptly bought one for himself!Instead of several holes in our ceiling and damage to the walls, he only needed to cut a 2" square hole which we just patched up and repainted.My local garage have also used this when they were checking the chain tension in my car's engine - feeding it down the dipstick hole they could see that it wasn't the cause of my slight rattle, which was good! It meant they didn't need to replace it "just in case" which would have been expensive.A really great little gadget that can save you lots of money!

Excellent image at very close range. Definitely fully waterproof and the integral light is good. No way of steering the tip and the cable is very floppy. Also no way of telling which way is up for the image. You need to mark the casing. No good for viewing at any distance. I use it to do close up inspection of my boat propellor and it works fine.

Comes with plenty of cable with a standard USB plug at one end, The plug contains a knob to adjust the lights from off to full brightness - there are six little LEDs in a circle around the camera, which means you don't get any shadows.Included is a USB to micro-USB adapter, CDROM (not even looked at that) and three end attachments: a mirror for looking around corners, a hook, and a magnet for hanging the camera (presumably while using the mirror to look sideways while the camera points upwards. Don't forget to remove the protective film from over the mirror.Plugging it into my Chromebook, it *just worked*. That was it - nothing to install - no dodgy drivers to download from an untrustworthy site - it just acts like a standard USB camera. The quality it remarkable. It is in focus from about 5cm to 10cm, and focus fades out after that. So bear in mind this is for close-up inspections, and not for spying on people in other rooms. Other people have posted videos from this camera, and I can vouch that is absolutely what you see.Similarly for Android, it works with any of dozens of free and premium USB camera apps.My only concern is that the camera body gets quite warm very quickly. It is made out of metal, so conducts the heat well, but I would always worry whether that heat was going to be the death of the electronics if left on for too long. But only time will tell.

Software required to use with Android phone contains browser hijacker. Once installed every time you open your browser it takes you to undesirable websites.Camera itself is ok. Although its refresh rate is very slow so if using in a confined space, it could take a while to get it pointing at what you need it to look at.

great fun. not good for close up, but looking for things under furniture / sheds / in car panels ....brilliant

Ich habe die Kamera gekauft, um nur mit einem Endoskop einsehbare Bereiche unseres Wohnmobils zu erforschen. Da die Kamera jedoch Objekte, die weiter als etwa 15 cm entfernt, nur unscharf abbildet, war sie zu diesem Zweck nicht zu gebrauchen. Im Nahbereich, also < 15 cm, liefert sie allerdings ein scharfes Bild.Abschließender Hinweis: was auf dem USB-Anschluss optisch als Auslöseknopf wirkt, ist keiner. Es ist eine Gehäuseerhebung ohne Funktion - anders als bei anderen Kameras. Fotos und Videos müssen also über die Software gesteuert werden.

Lo sto usando per lavoro, anche all'interno di tubazioni con acqua corrente senza nessun problema di impermeabilità.Il cavo viene con un CD con un semplice programma di cattura ma di fatto qualsiasi software in grado di utilizzare una webcam usb per registrare va bene.In campo lo utilizzo con il cellulare (Note 5 - android 6). Ho dovuto cercare per conto mio un programma che lo gestisse (Scopecam è gratis e va benissimo).La qualità dell'immagine è decente, l'illuminazione buona ma pesa la mancanza di una messa a fuoco manuale.Utili gli accessori (specialmente lo specchio).Se si fanno ispezioni nei tubi consiglio di attaccare il cavo a una molla da elettricista (di quelle per tirare cavi).

Il prodotto è come indicato nella descrizione. Ho provato ad utilizzarlo su una tubatura e si è comportata decentemente. Non è un prodotto professionale ma il suo lavoro lo fa. Attenzione che per utilizzarla nelle tubature e' necessario abbinarla ad una sonda per elettricisti di tipo rigido e, purtroppo, non è detto che segua tutte le curve presenti, anche perché, non essendo del tipo a testina orientabile non è facile da mandare dove si vuole. La qualità dell'immagine, tuttavia, è più che discreta a distanza ravvicinata. Questo perché non è presente l'autofocus. Un buon rapporto qualità prezzo.

Très beau produit, très utile.fournit avec le câble usb et micro-usb. Marche sur téléphone portable.le seul hic, la gaine est trop souple pour utiliser la longueur, 30 centimètres c'est parfait, au delà ça devient compliqué surtout si il y a des virages.
