I bought this to use while early morning running. My route is a mixture of road and sidewalks, with uneven surfaces all over. This light does a good job of shining light on the road ahead of you to avoid objects and make sure you do not trip on anything that is unseen. The light's three intensity levels are good for vary conditions. I usually use the light on the lowest setting, and it gives me good quality run time. The red light in the back is easily visible, and does cause cars to slow down. The light doesn't move itself, but you can move the harness around a little get it to shine where you want it to. The only reason for the 4 star is the harness itself. It looks like it was thrown together. The wire going from the battery pack to the light is coiled, but is not integral to the straps themselves. It is easy to get tangled.

I bought a Magicshine chest light from Magicshine USA in October 2017. I used it frequently over the next year. Right after Thanksgiving 2018, the light on/off switch stopped working. I emailed customer service about warranty information. I got a very helpful email the next day. Customer service apologized but the warranty was for a year and I was over that deadline by a month or so. They gave me the option of retuning the light for evaluation/service if I paid for the shipping. They would pay for shipping back to me. I took Magicshine USA up on their generous offer. I got a package in the mail last week. It only took them a few weeks to evaluate and fix the issue even though it was over the Christmas/New Years break. They didnt charge me for the repair. I am thankful for their help and impressed with their service. Thanks Magicshine for everything. Aside from that one issue, the light has worked great and I would recommend the light highly for any runners doing night runs during the short days of winter.

I needed a light for after-dark walks. I hate headlamps and flashlights. This is comfortable and works great.

Best light for running! When I opened it I thought it would be heavy and bounce because of the lithium battery in the back. Don't even know I have it on. Have given up my knuckle lights!!!

The magicshine is perfect for walking and jogging with my two dogs. It stays in place, and the beam is at the ideal height. In addition, it has the red light on the back of the harness, so people can see me from behind as well. Great safety tool!

This light is exactly what I was looking for. It's USB rechargeable, bright, securely mounted and doesn't bounce.Only complaint would be the length of the vertical strap is a bit short for me, I'm 6'1" and it is maxed out. If you are taller than that, you may have to modify it a bit to fit comfortably.

Wanted chest light so bought a cheapo unit off eBay that broke after less than two hours.Decided to spend a bit more on this, and am not disappointed.If you want a chest mounted light, look no further.Only complaint is that the back red light can't be set to solid; only flashing.
