BellroyPixel 2 Case (Leather Google Pixel Phone Cover, Super Slim Profile, Soft Microfiber Lining) - Black

I hate cases but need one to protect the camera lens. This is a slim and stylish case so it was a good compromise for me. I love it. Best part is, despite being smooth leather it hold up ridiculously well to drops.

The leather feels nice and the phone is mostly protected. Given that it is leather, the case is surprisingly thin and light.There are a couple of potential downsides. The "chin" of the phone is mostly exposed, so it will scuff up over time. Also, the volume and power buttons are recessed quite a bit, making them harder to push than normal.Overall I don't mind the exposed chin; I feel like the acoustics of being on a call are probably better that way. And if it's harder to accidentally push the power and volume buttons, that's okay with me.

At time of writing the case fits snug with the pixel 2. I haven't dropped it so can't speak to the other persons review on that. Outer edges are plastic and back is leather. As opposed to apples leather case, everything is leather. I like the look of the case. Personally, more so than the fabric pixel case. It is expensive tho...

I like how secure my device is, and has stood up well to the test of time. It does make the fingerprint scanner not work anymore (it's too deep for my finger to get the right angle) but I've stopped using that feature. Cameras are all fine, despite dropping phone now and again. Worth it -- would buy again.

The color was awful (much muddier than pictured), the black plastic had sharp edges. And the deal breaker: the lip doesn't stick up enough to protect the screen with a screen protector on it.

I love the look and feel of this phone case and felt it protected the device well — something you can detect when you see all of the gashes, nicks and marks present on the case after one year of use. The trouble with this product is neither build nor construction; it appears to be the quality of the leather used. I'm gentle with my stuff and this case looked completely destroyed with the leather worn off across the entire device edge and a ton of surface damage as described above.I've had multiple leather phone cases through the years and this one held up the least well when compared to the others I've owned -- in those instances, the plastic wore out long before the leather components of the case. Rather than gain a nice patina from wear, this looked downright shabby, which is a shame given the quality of Bellroy's wallet products and the overall price point of the case. I won't be purchasing a Bellroy phone case again.

I've tried a few different cases for my Pixel 2 and ideally I was looking for something as close to the official Apple iPhone leather case as possible. While it's definitely not that good, it's certainly good enough for me to stick with. I went with black as even the Apple leather cases seem to quickly change colour in any guise other than black and I believe this would be no exception. The fit on mine is perfect - no gaps in the edges or corners and there's a mm or two of front screen protection (so you can place it face down on a table without a problem).The leather itself seems of good quality and so far is holding up well (a couple of small scratches on the back but I expect that from a leather case). It's a shame the edges are plastic rather than leather but it is what it is. I find the cutouts for the buttons don't cause me any problems and while the bottom edge is a little sharper than I'd like (it rather cuts into my finger when reading it one handed) it's something I can live with. I'd give it 3.5 stars if that was an option and if you're looking for something comparable to the Apple leather case but a step or two down from it in terms of finish, then this is the case for you!
