HAS UPRIGHT ARROW-SHAPED WHITE-SPOTTED LEAVES, WHICH ARE ALMOST AS SHOWY AS THE BLOOMS OF THIS ACEOUS PERENNIAL. APPEARING ON COMPACT STEMS FROM LATE SPRING TO SUMMER, THE BLOOMS COMPRISE AN EXQUISITE FUNNEL-SHAPED YELLOW BRACT (SPATHE) THAT AGE TO ORANGE-RED, THAT ADD CLEAR HUES TO THE SUMMER GARDEN. FEEL THE HEAT!! FLAME IS AS COLOURFUL AND EXOTIC AS TROPICAL FISH. “FLAME” WILL FLOWER FOR LONG PERIODS THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER WITH DRAMATIC AND EXOTIC SHAPED FLOWERS. THEY ARE NOT FROST HARDY SO SHOULD NOT BE ED OUT UNTIL AFTER THE END OF MAY IN THE BORDER OR POTS.
