Remo Percussion Effect, Grey, 8 Inch (RT-0008-ST)

This practice pad was recommended to me by my son's drum instructor. It has a very nice feel (bounce) to it, and the sound is WAY better than listening to a snare drum all night. The price offered by Amazon for both the practice pad and the stand was very good (I believe about $45.00). In some stores, just the pad alone is about $32.00, and you'll definitely want the stand (any hi-hat stand will probably work). There are varying sizes and you will probably want the biggest size, which I believe is the 10 inch - just to give yourself a few different targets while practicing. Set up was extremely easy.

This was our first purchase of this kind for our son who's just started taking lessons. The product is as advertised and looks to be very durable and should last a while. My son's instructor recommended this as a good brand. The stand that came with it is essential if you want to make sure there's proper form in playing, etc. It's nicely adjustable and have had no issues with it being unstable. It's "heavier" than I expected which is good as it feels sturdy and doesn't seem like it'll break, etc. So far we've only used the pad detached once, but it's nice to have that option as there are times when we'd like for him to practice while at some other location and having the option to not carry the stand is great. I'd highly recommend getting this for anyone starting out.

I’ve used Remo pads since the early 70’s… it’s what I’m used to and enjoy playing on. I love that you can practice rim shots on it and that it has a realistic drum “feel” to it.

Another purchase for our 5th grade band student (first year band participant). It does its job but it seems a little short. We do have a tall child.

This is not a toy. My 11 yo grandson practices everyday on it. Key allows tuning and tightness of head. Stable reasl drum stand. Should give years of practice and warmup sessions.

Very durable -my grandson practices every day with this and after almost a year, is still holding up very well. I would highly recommend this product.

This is a very sturdy and heavy pad and stand with good sound and bounce. Much better than the less expensive versions I tried.

Practice pad and stand perform perfectly. Great for a beginner, and perhaps others as well. Drum pad has adjustable (tune-able) head and stand is stable.

Gotta love when stuff comes before you expect! In great condition. To my door. Got the 8" but was a bit bigger than my previous one so I probably had a 6". Minor quibble originated on my end. FANTASTIC!

Le support est pratique, très près du feeling d'une vraie peau mais un peu bruyant à mon avis.

El atril se ajusta a altura e inclinación. Sin embargo se siente frágil y vibra cuando la práctica se hace intensa. El pad es bastante bueno, aunque tiene la desventaja de ser algo ruidoso (lo que se puede corregir con algún truco casero). Se recomienda siempre y cuando se tengan en cuenta las desventajas.

Pensaba que el atril del praticador sería de mala calidad pero todo lo contrario, es un excelente practicador y de los más completos del mercado, súper recomendable!
