Privy Kit 500 with Grey Foam Seat

I use this as an emergency toilet for my house in case the grid goes down. I've used this quite a lot in order to test it and it works great. Once you separate the urine and drain it off separately everything changes, you don't have sewage and solids dry out quickly so sanitation is easier to deal with in an emergency. Odors are minimal when when you don't mix the solids with the urine and can handle that with a little composting material. The only downside is that the foam seat is delicate and is showing signs of wear. The good thing about the foam is that it's warm when you sit down on it even in cold weather.

Foam broke right away! I got this because it seemed to be the best foundation to build my own composting style toilet around. I loved that the box it came in was also a template for the hole you needed to cut out.But it's basically a plastic unit with a foam top and the foam main seat broke within the first week of use. And a peice of the foam closing cap chipped off a corner as well. I have glued it back together and it's holding, but it's overall pretty disappointing as this wasn't a cheap buy. Also, the foam top is so light, sometimes it moves when I get up from "going" or there's a strong gust of wind in that general direction.Overall, I've managed to hold together the things that broke off with glue. But not exactly what I was hoping for in quality overall for the price point.

This was a bit pricey but the only game in town. I ordered this model and used a seat I had on hand. Trimmed the diverter to hide under the seat. Overall I'm very please with this thing and was an important part of a compost toilet build. Would buy again in a minute. Composting toiled is MUCH better than the outhouse.

The connection from the blue collector to the tubing leaks constantly. Its really disappointing. The styrofoam seat breaking the first day wasn’t a deal breaker, but the pee constantly leaving is. If I could return I would.

Good quality seat and separator, though I have not figured out how to get a 5 gallon bucket to fit in my head (bathroom on a boat) without cutting the floor in a major way.

WOW what can i say,well it works,but folks it's cheap for the money,it's better ways and cheaper ways of doing this ,would i buy another one to replace this one, NO,the seat is cheap foam,it's not even tight to the rest of it,and that stupid lid,about the only thing that's worth is the separator,so what am i going to do,i am going to trim the thing down,try to find a toilet seat as big as it and replace that cheap foam junk seat,but it was a total lost of money i think,don't waste your time on it,it's ugly and cheap

Exactly what we were looking for. Bought 9 now. One for each member of our survival club.
