The company's SpeeDe cycling sock is a low-cuff version of the popular Aireator, which was the "original airflow design" sock, DeFeet's first product, and still its most popular. Designed for durability, light weight, and highly efficient moisture transfer, SpeeDe socks are made of 60% nylon, 39% Coolmax EcoMade, and 1% Lycra. An Aireator mesh weave instep is light and speeds drying, and the one-inch StayFast cuff keeps the sock securely in place. The machine washable sock has developed a passionate following among top riders, having been worn to a top-ten GC result at the 2010 Tour de France. Warranty DeFeet products include a limited one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. About DeFeet DeFeet owner and founder Shane Cooper came to the United States from England during the late 1960s, when he was four. His father supported the family by distributing knitting machines, which helped Shane develop an early interest in well-crafted knit materials. He also loved bicycles and, in the early 1990s, he decided to bring these two passions together in order to create a unique new product, the Aireator.
