Makes Natto that tastes OK.

Bit expensive but if you can’t stand the taste and smell of wet natto, this dry stuff is quite tasty.

Nope nope nope!

I've been warned that NATTO was a acquired taste. I certainly have not acquired that. You're supposed to soak the beans for 3 to 4 hours in the fridge with a little bit of water. Drain them off and then they're ready to go. The texture was really quite unpleasant. The stringiness is like egg yolk mixed with washing up liquid. The beans themselves weren't too bad, but it's the goo that they're contained in that is really unpalatable. I don't know if this is a case for all that time, but I suspect it is, in which case I simply do not have the taste for it rather than it being an issue with this particular variety of natto. It's beans. Had a certain nuttiness to them and were certainly more solid than something like a baked bean. I would probably compare them to something like an uncooked tinned black eyed pea.

Japanese Natto Fermented Soybean (70g) đŸŒ±đŸ‡ŻđŸ‡”

Tried these freeze-dried natto beans and wow, they are definitely an authentic experience! đŸ«˜ The texture is a little crunchy but melts when chewed, and the flavor is rich and very traditional — just how good natto should taste. Packed with probiotics and Vitamin K, it's a powerhouse for gut health. đŸ’Ș Plus, super convenient to sprinkle on rice or salads. Definitely not for beginners if you're new to natto, but if you love fermented foods, it’s a must-try! 🌟

Crazy price

I have read quite a lot about natto over the years, which is noted for its health properties and is a firm favourite in Japan. I love all of that, but I have never tried it until now, and found the taste is akin to eating smelly old socks
I did get used to it after a while, and I could definitely eat these regularly for the health benefits, except the price seems absurd for such a small amount. It’s easy to prepare, but it is currently on sale at £12.37 for a tiny packet, which works out at an astonishing £176.71 per kilo for fermented soya beans.

Outrageous price

The natto is delicious, but the price is utterly insane so I won’t be buying again.

Easy to Prep, Hard to Justify

This was my first time trying Japanese Natto soybeans, and I’ve got to say — the taste is actually quite nice, a bit like other beans but with its own twist. Super easy to prepare too, which I appreciate. That said, the portion you get for £12.60 is really small. I just don’t see myself buying it again at that price. For what it is, it doesn’t quite feel like good value.

Dehydrated natto

Great tasting natto in a resealable pouch bag. I like that they’re dehydrated, so I don’t have to worry about them expiring quickly. Rehydrating was very straightforward, and they have a nice umami taste with a stringy texture which was a little unusual at first. I actually like them dehydrated too as a crunchy topping. The price is not cheap, but it does contain 7 servings.
